Parvana homam

Parvana Homam is a significant Hindu ritual performed to honor the ancestors and seek their blessings for the well-being of the family. The term "Parvana" refers to the forefathers or deceased ancestors, and "Homam" refers to a fire ritual in which offerings are made to invoke divine blessings.

This ceremony is typically conducted during special occasions such as Shraddha, Tarpan, or Pitrupaksha, or as part of family celebrations to ensure the peace and prosperity of the descendants. The ritual involves offerings such as ghee, grains, and other sacred materials into the sacred fire while chanting mantras and performing prayers. The priest or family members perform the homam, seeking forgiveness for any ancestral debts and blessings for the family’s prosperity, health, and success.

Parvana Homam is considered a way to honor and express gratitude to ancestors, ensuring that they are spiritually appeased, and to invite positive energy into the family’s life.
